For those among you unable to keep up with the unrelenting stream of Mais Um Discos releases, the label now presents this double album compilation containing just over forty tracks. Of course a number of familiar Mais Um Discos faces are present again (Lucas Santtana, Graveola, Rodrigo Amarante, Metá Metá, Siba, Bixiga 70...), but like their previous compilations (2011's 'Oi! A Nova Musica Brasileira!' and last year's 'Daora: Underground Sounds Of Urban Brazil') this release is all about discovering mostly intended new Brazilian talent. Yours truly was most impressed with the rock influences of the Carioca band Do Amor, the bossa nova meets carimbó guitarrada and brega of Lia Sophia, and the sounds of Brasilia based multimedia collective Sistema Criolina, but please feel free to explore the track list yourself and select your own favorites!
