For this concept album Makasound called on some of the most well-known names in the French reggae scene (Pierpoljak, Manu of Baobab, Princess Erika) asking them to record a reggae-version of a famous French chanson; an original idea, but not all the resulting songs are equally convincing. From the track list of 'Il Est Cinq Heures Paris S’Eveille…' yours truly was most taken with the title track of the same name (here in a version by Jayhem) and 'La Vie En Rose', already covered similarly by Grace Jones years ago, but here in a version by Princess Erika.
