If you know that 'Thugs In The Street' contains no less than four cover versions (two of which are reworked versions of old Mighty Diamonds-classics), you will not be surprised to hear that after 30 years, The Mighty Diamonds are somewhat lacking in inspiration (even though the new version of 'Every Other Day' on the Abyssinians' Satta riddim is a sure fire hit); a bit disappointing because live trio Tabby, Bunny & Judge still guarantee a strong show. In 30 years, their voices haven't lost anything of their glory and mixed with a number of classic riddims (Satta, Conversation, Ten To One) that still makes 'Thugs In The Street' a pleasant listening experience.
