For the successor of 'Steppin' Out', their 2013 album debut, The Banyans continue where they left off. That being said, we should add they do seem to have geared up a notch, as this time part of the band even traveled to Jamaica, where they collaborated with veterans like Johnny Osbourne (the excellent 'Follow Your Light') and Big Youth ('Judge I'). Still, it's 'What's Going On', a duet with Maranto, a young lion from Kingston, that most impressed yours truly. Innovative 'For Better Days' might not be, but that doesn't make this album any less solid. For the time being we'll continue to keep an eye on The Banyans.
