Temenik Electric is a project around French-Algerian vocalist and guitarist Mehdi Haddjeri. He created a personal musical universe in which western rock and electro seamlessly blend with rhythms and melodies from the Maghreb; a world without the restrictions of genre, culture and language (even though Arabic is the dominant language on 'Inch'Allah Baby', for 'Kifech'n Dir' Mehdi switched to English), where everyone should recognize at least a part of themselves. For the recording of this album, Temenik Electric took to the Real World Studios where they got the assistance of Justin Adams (JuJu) and Tim Oliver. 'Inch'Allah Baby' mostly reminded yours truly of Rachid Taha's rock-'n-raï and Mehdi Haddab's oud-on-speed experiments with Speed Caravan.
