Sara Lugo's debut album ('What About Love', Oneness Records/Grooveattack 2011), unfortunately didn't reach us, but we can present you its successor 'Hit Me With Music'. Like for 'What About Love', the singer with German-Puerto Rican roots based in Munich, once again collaborated with Umberto Echo, but producers like Antony Senior (AL.TA.FA.AN. Records), Giuseppe Coppola (Gentleman) or Moritz 'Morry' von Korff (Oneness Records) also lent a hand. With vocal guests like Protoje ('Really Like You') and Kabaka Pyramid ('High & Windy' over the Reggaeville riddim) Sara proves she's up to speed with current musical trends in Jamaica. 'Learn To Grow', a duet with Ras Muhamad, could already be found on his recently released album 'Salam'. Those among you, who, like yours truly, have a weakness for female voices, will certainly find 'Hit Me With Music' to their liking. Decent effort from a young singer that you certainly must continue to keep an eye on!
