What ever happened to Richie Spice? There was a period when the man dropped one successful hit album after another, but 'Soothing Sounds', his last long-player to date, an acoustic compilation of some of his best-known hits, already dates back to 2012. Apart from a few sporadic singles, things have remained quiet ever since. But fortunately, Tad's Record now breaks that silence with the release of this four track 'World War' EP. That being said, this is also largely a collection of previously released singles. For instance, 'Play Loud', Spice's version over the Old King Cole riddim, could already be found on last year's one riddim compilation of the same name, the somewhat corny 'There's A Way' appeared on last year's compilation album 'Reggae Jammin' Vol. 5', and 'Jamaican Style', Richie's version over the Big Rock riddim (a revamp of the classic Real Rock riddim) and title track 'World War' were already released back in 2018. Enough whining, we're already more than happy once again to be able to enjoy Richie Spice in optima forma!
