Original Bass Foundation, in dub circles better known as O.B.F. Sound System, is a French sound from the vicinity of Geneva in Switzerland, also the location where they've been organizing their Dubquake dub nights for quite some time now. In recent years a number of independent releases appeared on their own Dubquake Records and O.B.F. Records labels, but with 'Wild', the duo Rico and G. are now also finally signing off on a first long player. Yours truly has to admit that not all tracks on 'Wild' are equally easy to digest, with heavy techno influenced tracks like 'Who's Bad' or 'Leave It Alone' featuring Burro Banton, being heaviest on the stomach. However, that's purely a matter of taste and the track list still offers plenty of songs that did strike our fancy, with 'My Sound A Danger' (featuring Mikey General on vocals) and 'Dub Controller' featuring Charlie P the right strings were. Recommended listening for dub fanatics able to take a punch.
