The Messenger was quiet for a while but returns with 'Jah Is My Navigator'. Recorded under the direction of bosom friend and bandleader Dean Fraser, this album exudes the class that we've come to expect from a Luciano release. Fraser also produced Tarrus Riley's 'Parables', so some riddims will already sound familiar ('Trod Out' on Prince Alla's 'One Stone' and 'Wish You Were Mine' on Beres Hammond's 'Groovy Little Thing'). The album closes with 'Hard Herbs' a great ballad that has nothing to do with reggae, but again proves the versatility of the The Messenger. Respect!
