Lily Dahab started her career in the music world as a singer in musical theatre; in her native Argentina she played the lead role in 'Cats' and in Barcelona she was offered the role of Esmeralda in the musical version of Victor Hugo's 'The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame'. Dahab moved from Argentina to Spain and on to Germany and processed the impressions her wanderings left her with in her new album 'Nómade'. The result is a meeting of genres and cultures in which jazz and tango blend into boleros and bossa nova, and the lines between what is clearly Latin-American and European begin to fade. In her own timeless way Lily Dahab performs classics by Carlos Jobim, Astor Piazzolla and Joan Manuel Serrat. Gem for those with a taste for the better vocal work.
