Finnish duo Lepistö and Lehti made their first appearance on these pages back in 2008, whith the release of their debut album 'Helsinki'. 'Radio Moskova' is once again built entirely around the double bass and accordion, but sounds somewhat darker than its predecessor. Yours truly has been a big fan of the work of Dutch comedian Youp van 't Hek for many years and 'Radio Moskova' reminded us more than once of the beautiful music Ton Scherpenzeel wrote for his shows. This is music for those who want to drift away, away from the hustle and bustle, away from the stress of work. In Pekka Lehti's youth "musing" apparently meant listening to his small transistor radio picking up the broadcasts of Radio Moskova.
