Ken Parker is a somewhat (unjustly) forgotten Jamaican artist from the rocksteady era who with 'Yesteryears Recaptured' looks back on his career. Parker debuted for Studio 1 ('Choking Kind', 'My Whole World Is Falling Down'), but also scored a few of his biggest hits ('Jimmy Brown', 'Help Me Make It Through The Night') for Duke Reid and you should definitely check out the Bunny Lee produced cover of Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come'! Disillusioned with the Jamaican music industry, Parker moved to Florida where he started his own Pisces Records label and began focusing on gospel music. A rocksteady gem!
