For their fourth long player Finnish Quintet Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha (supplemented for the occasion with Danish-Macedonian clarinet player Bjonko and Berlin based balalaika player Morgan Nikolay) continue where they left off with predecessor 'Lapland-Balkan' back in 2013. 'Näennäinen', which translates as "seemingly" or "apparently", actually feels rather like a Balkan album, even though for 'Kännissä Ja Pilvessä' Laitinen drew inspiration from a Greek rembetiko classic by Anestis Delias, the melody of opener 'Valheet Ja Kalheet' has its roots in the Russian-Ukrainian music tradition, and 'Aman' has a bit of an oriental vibe. Until further notice Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha remains Finland's number one party orchestra!
