'Evolution' is the long player debut of I&I Livity, a band from Dax, a small town in Landes, a region in the southwest of France. This eight piece band was established in 2009 and in their songs constantly alternates between English and French. For their sound these young French wolves have clearly listened carefully to some of the big names from the roots scene of the nineteen seventies and eighties. If you like the music of bands like Broussaï, Obidaya, Danakil or The Banyans (Banyans vocalist Devi makes a guest appearance in 'Devil Down'), you'll surely enjoy 'Evolution'. 'Evolution' is certainly not an innovative album, but can definitely be considered a more than decent French roots release.
