For this 'Get Up & Show' EP, Iba Mahr joined forces with German label Oneness Records. The EP contains eight tracks (6 vocal cuts and 2 dub mixes by Umberto Echo). Title song 'Get Up & Show' is typical Iba Mahr and was already released in the spring of last year. The corresponding clip has since gotten over half a million views on YouTube. 'Family Not Friend' is Iba's version over Oneness Records' recent Nice & Easy riddim, but it are mainly the two duets on the EP which drew our attention. 'One Of A Kind' is a lovers tune and a combination with Agent Sasco aka Assassin, but the absolute highlight on 'Get Up & Show' is 'One World', a collaboration with Patrice. Yours truly is far from a fan of the latter, but in this case his voice in combination with that of Iba Mahr and the flute of Sheldon Bernard (Harmony House Band) really works wonders, resulting in an almost perfect new roots tune. Yet another Iba Mahr release at the highest level.
