Trombone lovers take heed because Serbian Hornsman Coyote and his band Soulcraft are back! Their 2014 self-titled debut was absolutely to our liking, so we were already looking forward to this sequel. And once more Nemanja Kojić and his friends do not disappoint. From the first notes of the slow roots on opener 'Selah', 'Safe Planet' grabbed us by the collar not to lose grip before closing track 'Angry', an excellent version of Keith Hudson's 'Nuh Skin Up'. Of course Coyote's trombone was once again given a starring role (amateurs of the instrument should definitely check the instrumental 'Jericho') and with 'Safe Planet' - after the recent tragic events in Brussels, definitely a title that counts - Hornsman Coyote & Soulcraft prove that even in Serbia they know how rock-solid roots should sound! Another one going straight into our top ten for 2016...
