In recent years we've seen an almost continuous stream of reggae releases from the United States, but in Canada things remained rather quiet. However, with 'Table For Four', Montreal based band FoOlish, is intent on changing this. The trio (Alex Jurasek - vocals/guitar, Miranda Zolla - bass/vocals, Paulo Max Riccardo - drums) brings a mix of reggae, rock ('Don't Be Rude', 'In The Dark'), ska ('Don't Be Rude'), dub, and in 'Punk Song' also a dose of solid punk, showing similarities with the flood of American reggae productions reaching us from California. Of course there's a lot of attention for love (opener 'Would You Love Me', 'Break Bread') and the green herb ('Kaya', the slightly psychedelic 'Space Munchies'), but even the loss of a pair of shoes ('No Shoes') gets a place on 'Table For Four'. Quirky Canadian reggae!
