For those not familiar with Faya Horns, this is a project started by Eric 'Rico' Gaultier (sax & flute) and Thomas Henning (trombone). Reggae fanatics might already know Rico from the work he did with Manjul both on and off stage. As the title suggests, for this album Faya Horns joined hands with Mad Professor and his son Joe Ariwa and recorded the entire thing in the Ariwa studio with the help of guest musicians like Black Steel (bass) and Victor Cross (keyboards). History proves collaborations between the English and the French aren’t always easy, but 'Faya Horns meet Mad Professor & Joe Ariwa' has ended up a very enjoyable dub album.
