The vinyl re-release of 'Cachaito' hasn't cooled down yet, but World Circuit isn't relenting and already returns with a deluxe vinyl release of 'A Todo Cuba Le Gusta', back in 1996 the debut album by Afro-Cuban All Stars. It was the first of three, meanwhile classic, Cuban albums recorded in a time span of just two weeks at the legendary EGREM studio in Havana (the other two being 'Buena Vista Social Club' and 'Introducing... Ruben Gonzalez'). The Afro-Cuban All Stars project was the brainchild of band leader Juan de Marcos Gonzalez (former front man of son institute Sierra Maestra), who wanted vocal legends (José Antonio 'Maceo' Rodríguez, Manuel 'Puntillita' Licea, Pío Leyva, Raúl Planas, Félix Valoy, Ibrahim Ferrer) from the golden age of Cuban music to collaborate with the younger generation of Cuban musicians (even though veterans like Orlando 'Cachaíto' López - bass, Ruben Gonzalez - piano, Manuel 'Guajiro' Mirabal - trumpet, and Luis Alemañy - trumpet, also contributed). 'A Todo Cuba Le Gusta' sounds more varied and festive than 'Buena Vista Social Club', but can easily withstand comparison. Cuban masterpiece!
