The Volga River is the lifeblood of Russia and, just as that river unites hundreds of smaller streams, for this project singer Angela Manukian combines different genres and even eras. Manukian collected writings from different regions and dialects and, assisted by Roman Lebedev and Uri Balashkov, lets them clash with contemporary genres like electro, dance and rock. Add to that the live video projections of Muscovite Roman Anikushin and Parisian Oleg Kornev and you get quite the psychedelic-shamanic experience. Roughly translated ‘Kumushki Pjut’ means something like "terrible gossips".
