Even though outside of the US, he may not have the status he has in his home country, Rocker-T's career spans over three decades, quite enough to call the man a veteran. Earlier this year the singer from Brooklyn (real name Toby Petter Herskind Sorensen) celebrated the twentieth anniversary of his biggest hit 'Tru Ganjaman' with the release of 'Tru Ganjaman, The Remixes', an album for which he called on a number of befriended producers to create their personal take on the song. That release is now followed by 'The Return Of The Tru Ganjaman', a long player for which Rocker-T, apart from collaborating with lesser gods like Jah Wave (lead vocalist for American band Indubious), Jah Wave aka Tidal Wave from Guyana and Belizean Ras Indio, invited well-known reggae artists like Michael Rose, Prezident Brown, Gappy Ranks and Mr. Williamz. There's little doubt Rocker-T is still a 'Tru Ganjaman', as the track list of 'The Return Of The Tru Ganjaman' contains no less than 5 ganja tunes, and then we're not even counting the megamix of 'Tru Ganjaman' and the remixes concluding the album. 'Need Some', the duet with Gappy Ranks has a catchy flow and 'Blazing Everyday' sounds like a typical Prezident Brown tune, but as far as we're concerned, the top tune on 'The Return Of The Tru Ganjaman' is 'Disgrace', featuring a Mr. Williamz and Michael Rose in excellent shape.
