Apart from the fact they are a six-piece band from Paris, we unfortunately can't tell you all that much about Jacko With Bambool. As they don't really consider this a full-fledged reggae project, on their self-titled debut effort, influences from genres like funk or afrobeat (opener 'What They Do'), gospel ('Friendship') and even some jazz manouche ('Gypsies') can also be heard, with Jacko's soulful voice as the only constant. In addition to 13 vocal cuts in the track list you'll find 3 delicious dub versions as well. The French keep doing it!
